A tale of past and present, the story begins with Boddhidharma (suriya), a Pallava king in the 16th century. He is master of martial arts and all other forms of spirituality and science. He goes to China for a purpose and spends years. Eventually, he also gives away his life and gets buried there. The story comes to the present and in Chennai lives Aravind (suriya) who works with a circus company. He comes across Shuba (shruti) and falls in love with her. Shuba gets close to Aravind but she does that for a purpose. Meanwhile, a man called Dong Lee (johnny) comes from China and his purpose is to locate Shuba and kill her. How all of them are related to each other and what has Boddhidharma got to do with it forms the rest of the story.
